Statistically speaking, America does not have a white on black crime problem. Only 7.6% of blacks are killed by whites. Only 14% of whites are killed by blacks. Former NYC Mayor Rudolf Giuliani said on Meet the Press that 93% of black people are killed by other black people. Likewise, about 83% of whites are killed by white people. Nowhere in the country is the black on black murder problem more obvious than in Chicago. Hundreds of young black men every year are killed in Chicago by blacks. Since Michael Brown died in August, more than 100 black men have been shot and killed in Chicago.

Whistler Blackcomb (WB) is set to become one of the first resorts in North America to feature a vegan on-mountain restaurant. - See more at: http://www.whistlerquestion.com/news/local-news/raven-s-nest-goes-green-1.1619738#sthash.ILkSQSHh.dpuf
One of my best friends, who is vegan, kept emailing, phoning and bugging the head chef at Whistler, and look at the results...hard work or shall we say bugging, pays off. She likes skiing and snowboarding there, is there right now actually, and now she will have a vegan food option.
I just made this,,,, and its very tasty. First make a mixture of Bragg soy with a few TBL's of nutritional yeast and a bit of sesame oil (if not enough to cover all tofu add a bit of water) and mariate thin slices of tofu, soft or firm in mixture 20 minutes each side (so they must be turned) then fry for 3-4 minutes each side in coconut oil. Can use on sandwiches, in salads, or for anything, or just eat as is. Mnmmmmmmm

WONDERFUL NEWS FOR ANIMALS!
The Supreme Court of India has issued an interim order to prevent the illegal movement of animals across the India-Nepal border.
This decision is important, because at the end of November the Gadhimai Festival Sacrifice is due to take place in Nepal. This two day event, held every five years, sees the ritual sacrifice of over 500,000 animals in horrific, inhumane conditions. Around 70 per cent of the animals come from India.
It’s inspiring to see such high-level leadership for animal protection.
To be vegan is to know that if you scratch the meat industry’s surface, unending cruelties and miseries will be revealed. A patron at a bar on the outskirts of London discovered this for himself while enjoying a pint of beer and a bag of pork rinds. Upon removing one of the rinds from its plastic bag, he discovered that, through the deep-fried surface, a tattooed number was plainly visible. Around the world, factory farms routinely cut notches out of pigs ears, and tattoo their skin, for identification purposes. You’ve of course got to wonder whether, if they can’t even be bothered to keep tattooed skin from being made into pork rinds, what other corners do pork producers cut when it comes to issues of animal care and food safety? .......... read more at link
Tomorrow, voters in Maine and Michigan will decide ballot measures with life-and-death significance for black bears and gray wolves. We are urging a “yes” vote on Question 1 to ban bear baiting, hounding, and trappingin Maine – the only state in the nation to allow all three retrograde practices. In Michigan, we are urging “no” votes on Proposals 1 and 2 to retain protections for wolves and to preserve the right of citizens to challenge state actions to declare protected species as “game” animals.
